Hi, I'm Edd.

I'm a Mexican writer in both English and Spanish languages.

Writing and reading stories are my biggest passions since I was six. I started to love books, thanks to my mom. She was a Spanish teacher, so books always surrounded me.

Years later, I decided I wanted to be a high school teacher, so I studied a B.A. in Education and Literature. During the next six years, I worked with teens, who opened up with me about their battles, their dreams, and hopes. (If you are one of those kids and you're reading this, thank you so much.)

In 2017, I made a decision: I would pursue my dream of being a writer, so I packed my bags, left all the life I knew in Mexico, and traveled to Spain. One year later, I graduated from the University of Seville with Honors with an MFA in Creative Writing.

In 2019, I enrolled in the Marketing Program at the University of Washington, and I had the opportunity to write the newsletter for Extending a Hand, a Colombian foundation based in Miami, an article for the BeaRegards blog, book reviews, and social media content.

Now, I share in this blog book reviews (especially diversity and inclusion stories), my recipes, products I love, and my experiences living in different countries and working with incredible humans that have been with me on this journey. I also love helping social media accounts with their writing and Spanish translations.

When I'm not writing or teaching, I eat ice cream and watch my fav shows.
